What does Spirit, Numerology, and the Tarot Predict for September 2024?

Dare I say it? August is almost over and the energy is about to shift into the month of September.

Don’t breathe a sigh of relief just yet, the storms that ravaged through our collective experience in August may reappear on and off for a little while longer, but hopefully we can begin to create a new normal sometime soon.

September is the ninth month of the year, and, as I mention every month during the energy updates, 2024 is an 8 year in numerology. (2+0+2+4=8)

If we add 9 and 8, we arrive at 17, and 1+7=8.

Last month, even though we were in a 7 month, the energy of 8 came up more than once, due to August being the eighth month of the year and 2024 being an 8 year. You may have experienced some fairly substantial energy upgrades or experiences with expanded consciousness.

Sometimes when we have mystical or spiritual experiences, our Earth life takes a hit. That is because we become an expanded version of ourselves, and the Earth life we have been living has to adjust. We may have a spiritual awakening and a dark night of the soul either simultaneously or one right after the other. For me, many years ago, I was fully emersed in a belief system which taught me to receive spiritual messages. At some point, I began receiving some messages from Spirit which did not fit into my version of spirituality, and when I spoke about the messages, it was not well received. I quickly sank into the dark night experience, where I questioned everything I thought I knew or that I had built my life upon. It took me several years to emerge from my dark night experience, but it was a necessary step in my spiritual growth, which eventually created the version of myself that exists now. So, what does this have to do with the energy of September? It feels like September may either usher in, or continue a theme that began in August, which could lead to many having some version of a dark night experience.

The overall themes for 2024 have centered around power, money, self-empowerment, and spiritual expansion. Now that we enter into September, an 8 month in an 8 year, the struggle for power is likely to intensify. As I mentioned last month in the energetic update for August, this time period is much like road reconstruction. The process of tearing up an old road and creating a new one is often inconvenient at least, and often creates the necessity to observe detours and delays in our travel plans. Normally this is not over in a week or even in a month, but tends to be a theme for a while.

Collectively the struggle for power is manifesting in very contested elections, chaos, wars, coup de tats, and all sorts of unexpected events which create unrest and turmoil all over the world. Natural disasters and weather events are also intensifying.

What can we do?

It is important to hold the energy of Divine Love and Peace as the world adjusts to new frequencies. Do your best not to judge those who are behaving in ways you do not agree with. Send them Divine Love and expect that eventually, we will all evolve into a more loving and kind humanity.

The energy of the number 8 cannot be understated. Eight is the number of infinity, expanded consciousness, spiritual experiences, new chapters, and arising to a higher level of consciousness. There are books written and many teachings on the power and frequency of the number 8.

When I first began to experience expanded consciousness, I was drawn to the number 8. I chose “8” days to initiate important changes in my life, and I also found that significant events for me personally happened on “8” days which I did not necessarily plan or initiate, or when the energy of 8 was present. I would see the number 8 in unusual ways, such as on my odometer in my car, on the clock, on road signs or on license plates of cars who just happened to pull in front of me. If it had occurred only once or even twice, I could convince myself that it was just a normal occurrence, but it would happen over and over in short slices of time. There are meditations which incorporate visualizing the number 8 or moving your body or your mind in patterns of 8. Get ready. Spiritual awakenings are likely to present themselves to you this month, and beyond. If you begin to see the number 8 over and over, expect that this is something that is coming for you personally.

On the positive side, you may have a good month financially if the number 8 is in your personal theme for September. Remember that your own personal theme for the month is affected by your own month and day of your birthday, but issues around money and finances are likely to be an overall theme collectively. If you think back to the eighties, money and the acquisition of power was a huge theme. Everything was bigger than life.

The number 8 is also the number of harvest, so if you have been responsible in your life, you are likely to reap some benefits from your labor. Whatever seeds you have been sowing are likely to come up to be harvested in September. Those who have been sowing seeds of discord, secrecy, lies, propaganda, or untruths may experience some sort of setbacks or retribution. If you have been sowing seeds of kindness, love or peace, you can expect a little payback too!

I mentioned that I arrived at the number 8 for September by adding up the 9 for the 9^th month of the year to the current year of 2024, which gives us the number 17. In the Tarot, the number 17 is the Star, and the number 8 is Strength.

I like to call the Star card the card of Hope. When we hope for something, we do not yet possess what we hope for. If we did, there would be no need to hope for it. Sometimes the Star card says that what you want is coming, but it may not come today. However, if you have been going through a challenging situation, hope tells you that better days are coming. You may receive some sort of indication that what you desire is on its way. You may or may not actually experience the object of your desire, but you will be assured that your prayers or intentions have been heard, and the answer is on its way. The Star card also points to the study of the stars, so maybe you want to pay attention to astrology this month.

The Strength card depicts a woman petting a lion. The woman has the infinity symbol, a sideways 8, above her head. This card tells you that you have the strength inside yourself to make an enemy or foe your friend. You have the ability to overcome any obstacles that present themselves to you. The foe is not necessarily a person. Any obstacle or struggle can be overcome in the presence of the Strength card, if you understand your own inner power. The Strength card says you are stronger than you know you are.

Obviously, if everything is wonderful, there is no need for the Strength card. You don’t need to be strong if you are living an easy life or drinking martinis on the beach. The Strength card does not say you are living on easy street, necessarily. The Strength card says you are strong. You are able to tame whatever lions present themselves to you. Be strong and courageous. Stand in your power and know that you can alter the outcome of any situation in your life if you believe you can.

There are four more “8” cards in the Tarot, which may show up in your life personally at some point this month, depending on your personal theme for the month. They are: The 8 of Pentacles, the 8 of Cups, the 8 of Wands, and the 8 of Swords.

The 8 of Pentacles has to do with your work, your career, your skills, or something you are working on. You may work a little extra hard this month, or you may be working on something that means a lot to you. Your regular job may have some significance in your experience this month.

The 8 of Cups is all about leaving behind a fairly satisfying situation in order to seek out something more. It sometimes indicates separation from someone who you love or have loved. Perhaps you go searching for something more meaningful than what is currently in your experience. It sometimes indicates a spiritual experience, such as going on a spiritual quest of some sort. It can also be indicative of taking a trip or moving, especially near water.

The 8 of Wands is often indicative of fast-moving events that show up quickly. It can have to do with social media and the internet, or news traveling fast. Sometimes it indicates air travel. You may be inspired to take action in a sudden or unexpected way. Something may happen out of the blue or in an unexpected way.

The 8 of Swords indicates that you may feel helpless to change a situation in your life. Something may occur that you have no ability to change. Possibly you are not seeing the whole picture. To me, this card is the card of surrendering to events that are completely out of your control. However, the girl in the picture is still standing, so there is hope of escape, rescue, or emancipation. She hasn’t given up yet.
