The Light is Increasing
Some things you can do to align with the energy of Divine Light and Love
This morning I decided to brave the bitter winds of March and take a walk down my lane to connect with the energies of Spirit. Here in Virginia, March is a fairly unpredictable month as far as weather is concerned. Last week I was planting some hostas my neighbor had given me and sitting out on the porch enjoying my tea in the mornings and this week I am donning my hat and gloves along with two layers of sweatshirts as the last throes of winter blow through my bones.
I love my version of meditation that I have been practicing for over twenty years now, where I send my awareness up into the upper world (a Shamanic term for Spirit world) in order to connect with whoever is up there wanting to chat with me. Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don’t. But the practice of connecting with the spirit world (all that is going on the world that is around us but invisible to our physical vision) reminds me that I am just an awareness that happens to be occupying a human form for a limited amount of time.
I am reminded that today is the spring equinox, a day when the day and the night are divided up in equal measure. As I contemplated the return of the physical light here in my part of the world, I felt a message come through that the return of sunlight was not the only Light that was increasing.
To me, nature is a metaphor for the spirit world. When a crow greets me with its cawk cawk, I know Spirit is close by and normally has a message for me. When I see a red-winged black bird, I am reminded that it is okay to stand out and be your authentic self, despite knowing that you may be more visible to potential threats or even predators.
Since the beginning of the year when I normally tune in to Spirit and get some indication of what is coming for the year, I sensed that April through mid-June would hold some shifts for us collectively and perhaps personally as well. I had been feeling periodic energetic shifts in my own conscious awareness, and had attracted a number of clients who were having what has become identified as a spiritual awakening as well. For me, I experienced a huge spiritual awakening a number of years ago, and so I was labeling these experiences “spiritual upgrades.” It began about a year ago. The first one put me in bed for a couple of weeks. It felt like my human body was being tweaked to hold more energy, but it was not necessarily a pleasant experience physically. Since then, I have experienced a couple of additional “upgrades,” but the additional ones seemed to be more pleasant. I began to drop some unhealthy weight due to some dietary and exercise changes. The spirit world seemed to be more accessible than ever. I was getting more detailed and specific messages and connections both personally and for my clients. My energy healing capabilities seemed to have increased. I was feeling more energy flowing through me during healing sessions.
So today as I traversed the narrow lane down past my house, I was not surprised to hear “the Light is increasing.” Between now and the middle of June the light from the sun is increasing and our days will increasingly become longer, at least here in my neck of the woods.
But the message was that this spiritual awakening that was happening would get more apparent and noticeable.
Light symbolizes truth, awareness, consciousness, awakenings, information, and revelations. When we say that something “dawned” on me, we are saying that a truth became apparent to us. When we say that we are “shining a light” on a subject, we are saying that truth is being revealed.
I chatted about this very subject in my monthly energy forecast for March, which I normally post around the end of the prior month. I hinted around that some hidden truths may be revealed, either personally or collectively. I chatted about spiritual awakenings being increasingly common among those who really are not even looking for that particular experience.
When you find out a truth that was previously hidden, you can’t “unknow” it. You can deny it, ignore it, try to bury it, or continue living your life as usual, but eventually, that truth changes your life. This is what is happening now. The light of day is beginning to dawn. Things that have been hidden in the shadows are being exposed.
What can you do?
The most important thing to do is do some self-reflection. Is there anything you would prefer remain a secret? Are there areas of your life you would rather not address, admit, or own? We all have shadows we would prefer remain in the dark! But it is important to open up those closets and expose those skeletons for who or what they are. Admit your own humanity. None of us can say that we have never done anything we regret. Mistakes are normally discovered to be mistakes in hindsight, after we have already made them. We don’t intentionally live our lives saying, “today, I think I will make a regrettable decision that will haunt me for years to come.”
Several months ago I did a group reading at a woman’s house and could not get a good connection to Spirit for any of the eight or nine women present. Not one! I refunded their money and snuck home with my tail between my legs. However, I decided to share this on social media and even wrote a blog post about it! One of the ladies still felt it necessary to call me a fraud on my Google business page.
I still feel that owning up to your weaknesses is always a good policy. It may not seem to benefit you, but it always does in some way! One of my students said she completely believes this happened to me in order to boost her confidence and show that even people that you look up to are human and may have bad days or bad experiences.
About a month ago I lost my cool and yelled a little too loudly at my granddaughter, embarrassing her to the point where her mother confronted me about the incident. I have moments when I am not all Love and Light and behave in ways that are less than exemplary. We all live our lives, doing the best we can do. As we move into these coming months leading up to the middle of June, perhaps we all need to shine a light on those personality traits, wounds of the soul, or regrettable incidents we would rather keep hidden. There are some who are called to shine the light on national and world leaders and their personality flaws or regrettable actions. I am not that person but I do believe that it is sometimes necessary! We all should do our best to lead our lives as if everyone could see what we are doing.
My only exception to that rule is this: if exposing some regrettable action is going to cause harm to an innocent, then I do believe that sometimes oversharing is not necessarily healing.
Years ago, when I was a teenager, the youth group leader in the church where I attended did an exercise based on a suggestion in the Bible. If you have anything against someone, go to that person and address it with that person…(Matthew 18:15). So she had us go to people who we had a grievance with and share our grievance to their face. One of the teenage guys in the group came to me and told me that he resented me because he felt pressure from his family to date me because our parents were friends. I had no idea and the revelation crushed me. This was not even based on something I personally had done, but he resented me nonetheless and it made him feel better to tell me. I was very fragile anyway at that age and knowing that someone didn’t like me for something I absolutely had no control over almost pushed me over the edge.
The truth is that sometimes we don’t like someone and it is not really necessary to tell them! If revealing a truth is likely to wound someone, there is no reason other than your own guilt to bring it up. Deal with your own emotions and let it go. Let the Universe or Source Energy deal with the other person. I don’t really advocate exposing other people’s faults unless they are wounding others and the issue is not being addressed. It is none of my business, really. But I do see the value in shining the light on issues where people are being wounded and for whatever reason they are not aware or they are unable to address the issue themselves.
I once learned that a pastor in town who was doing a drug rehabilitation program was targeting the female addicts and seducing them. One of them became pregnant and he advised her to have an abortion, which was contrary to his public stance on abortion and his public image. He was married with children and the revelation would have ruined him. He was fairly confident in not being exposed because it was his word against these addicts, and who could trust them, right? I did write a letter to his parent church and asked that he be investigated but as far as I know, no action was ever taken.
Sometimes we have to realize that we may not know the whole story and that justice always occurs, whether we see it happen or not. I really do not know without a doubt that my source was absolutely credible, although I believed it at the time and I still do tend to believe it. I do believe, however, that there is justice in the universe. When people seem to get away with bad behavior, sometimes we get annoyed at the Universe. It is important to release things that are out of your control and send the energy of the Highest Good to all.
What other things can we do to welcome in the Light of Truth and our own experience with spiritual awakenings and upgrades?
The best thing we can do is live as much as possible under the law of love. Give people a break when it seems appropriate, but call out bad behavior when people cross a line or their behavior is wounding you or other people. If you are aware of secrets and you feel compelled to expose them, then do so with the utmost integrity and know that sometimes our attempts to do the right thing backfire and we are unjustly affected.
For me personally, I tend to shy away from judging other people for any reason, even if I feel justified. If someone asks me what I think about a public figure who does what I do but has a lot more fame than I do, such as a TV show or maybe even they are just popular locally, I normally do not comment, no matter what my opinion is. I believe that what I say or do has repercussions and may come back to haunt me. Other than that, I really don’t have an opinion about these people. I have never met them and I have never interacted with them. They are either people I admire and think they are wonderful or people I reserve my opinions about. I have regrettably watched documentaries about the fall of famous individuals who claimed to have some hotline to heaven who seemed to have substantial character flaws. It is my opinion that each of us are a savior to one person and a demon to someone else. I can never hope to please everyone or to be everyone's cup of tea, but hopefully I have not scarred someone emotionally for life as I see some people relate stories of abuse from certain people who enjoyed notoriety or fame in some way.
The key to love is acceptance. If we love someone, we accept that they are in a different place on their journey than we are. They do not need to agree with us. As long as they are not crossing a boundary, I tend to be all love and light with almost everyone. Not everyone earns a place at my dinner table, though.
So let us love each other. Love our understanding of the Divine. And love each other.
If someone’s life choices are not negatively affecting us or some individual or group of people who have no voice, then it is not our business to point it out to them. (If you know me, then you know that I have been known to struggle with this one!)
Connect with Divine Love in your heart. Connect with your understanding of the Divine. And send that Love to all.
I am in the process of releasing a meditation which leads you in transmitting the Energy of Divine Love both to yourself and to the world. I like to associate the color pink with Divine Love. When we send what I call “PINK LIGHT” to ourselves and others while joining with the energy of the Creator, extreme energy of healing and love is projected and everyone benefits. When the video is live I will add a link!
If you enjoy my posts, I invite you to subscribe, comment, and check me out on the various platforms that speak to you. I currently post a message every day from Spirit on Facebook and Instagram. For now, my blog is posting here, but you can check out years of messages from Spirit on my website.
Let us all join together loving each other and welcoming in this energy of Light and Love. All that is not Light and Love will be known and we will be called to follow the Light or the absence of it. It is your choice.
Joy,
So many profound and heart touching messages in this “talk” to us!
You say: “Love the understanding of the Divine. And love each other.”
Loving one another guide us into a higher level of being, straight into our eternal soul.
Through your teachings, I now truly understand that love is infectious and it is the greatest healing energy.
I would like to thank you for the willingness you have to share your gifts with us. You’re really “iluminada “ (Portuguese for “filled with light”)
